i sweat and bleed for each tick tock
each tick that talks
of patterns

saying, say what you gotta say
because saying it has a sway
on what happens

there’s no such thing
as seeing the pattern wrong
there’s only misinformation

and all this while that the train
has been moving along
it’s been closing on a destination

it’s all or nothing that’s the next stop
on this ride and you either stay on or get off

but either way you go
the ending is no more a choice
than the inevitable tick tock
of the clock
