i’ve seen the madness that you see
a neverending electric sea
that swallows belief and heresy
and once you’ve seen it there’s no rest
and every new tide is a test
to see if you can best
futility
our curse is knowing what we know
and there’s no way to let it go
there’s no faith that can overthrow
this certainty
sometimes the words are a distant shore
sometimes the brig. sometimes the oars.
someimes you can’t even use them anymore
cuz each one feels contradictory
i see the madness that you see
we’re all drowing in the all-seeing sea
and the life-raft of knowledge and truth won’t be
the difference between defeat or victory.
